O czymże milczy miłorząb? | Of what does a gingko tree is silent about?

DO MIŁORZĘBU

A ty milczeć będziesz
sto a może więcej lat.
Atomowa zima
nic dla ciebie nie znaczy,
ty po prostu trwasz.

A my kim jesteśmy – dzieci
nieco nowszych czasów –
dla ciebie?

Poprzez twe gałęzie,
poprzez ich milczenie
słyszymy agonię
całej ludzkości, a
ty stoisz tam
pośród rumowiska czasu,
pośród murów skruszonych.

Hans Claus
(Polish translation: from English by Lech Szeglowski)
(polskie tłumaczenie z angielskiego: Lech Szeglowski)

TO A GINGKO TREE

You will keep your silence
a hundred years and more.
Nuclear winter
has no meaning for you,
you simply breathe through.

What are we, children
of a more recent age,
to you?

Through your branches
silent as they are
we hear the agonies
of all mankind, and
there you stand
among the rubble of time
and crumbling walls.

Hans Claus
(English version, translated from Dutch by David Cobb)

Interpretacyjną podpowiedzią do „Do miłorzębu” mogłyby być ostatnie dwa wersy „Jesiennego miłorzębu” Jerzego Harasymowicza:

Jerzy Harasymowicz's the last two lines of  "Jesienny miłorząb" ("An autumn gingko tree") could be an interpretation clue for Hans Claus' “To a gingko tree”:

Jesienny miłorząb
[...]
Wszystko ma sens
bez nas

An autumn gingko tree
[...]
Everything has sense
without us

Jerzy Harasymowicz

Christmas Eve story | Wigilijna opowieść

Typową wigilijną wersję o moim pająku (moim zdaniem dużo lepszą od poprzednich) zostawiłem na dziś.

The typical Christmas Eve versions of my spider (IMO - much better than previous ones) I left for today.

Pen as a tool for communication - długopis jako narzędzie komunikacji

rose is a rose is a rose
as also
pen is a pen is a pen

I believe that even very radical feminists would believe that every pen is a tool for comunication.

There isn't a Polish translation -  what's the good of it?
